AP Go.53 Norms of Reapportionment of Teaching Staff, Surplus Teaching Staff to Needy Schools

AP Govt. has been issued norms in GO.53 for re-apportionment of teaching staff under under various managements viz., Government, Zilla Parishad and Mandal Praja Parishad Schools Primary, UP, High Schools to make use of teaching staff with full extent. As per the Go.53 of School Education Department teachers will be adjusted to needy school where the teachers are surplus in schools. For this AP Govt. has issued Go.53, guidelines for reapportionment of teaching staff among various managements.

Key Points for Reapportionment of Teaching Staff

  • The enrollment in the AP Govt. schools have been increased due to implementation of the Ammavodi program.
  • A number of schools have become single teacher schools, which is against the norms set in by the Right to Education Act 2009.
  • The Committee comprising Collector & District Magistrate, Joint Collector, Chief Executive Officer, District Educational Officer to exercise the reapportionment of teachers postsas per the norms and guidelines in Go.53.

Criteria for identification of re-apportionment of teachers

  1. When a post is found surplus and proposed for shifting to a teacher deficit place, those teachers who have completed 8 years of service at that particular school shall be shifted;
  2. If any teacher who has not completed 8 years but happens to be a senior teacher in the school and if he/she is willing to work at the new school he/she may be shifted;
  3. In case of non availability of (a) & (b) junior most teacher as per the service rendered in the cadre shall be shifted.
