AP Government has decided to upgrade 1450 Language Pandit and 1200 PET posts as per the Rc.No.882 Dt:12/12/2016 as School Assistant(Language) and School Assistant(Physical Education) across all 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh in all Govt.High School/ ZIlla Parishad High Schools. The starting scales of upgraded posts Rs.28940-78910/- . The present proceedings issued based on the G.O.Ms.No.144, Finance (HR.II) Dept., Dt:02.08.2016.

Follow U-DISE Data for PET Upgradation
- The U-DISE data 2015-16 and 2016-17 for enrollment teacher data base and sanctioned posta rea taken into consideration.
- In the line with GO. Ms No.144 Fin.02/08/2016 the High Schools having enrollment of 200 and above are considered.
- District was taken as a unit for upgradation.
- Effort was also made to allocate at least a minimum of 60 posts.

District Wise Language Pandit(LP) Upgradation as SA(Language) List
- The U-DISE data 2015-16 and 2016-17 for enrollment teacher data base and sanctioned posts is taken into the considedation.
- In line with GO.144 Dt:02/08/2016 the High Schools having enrollment of 200 and above are considered.
- District was taken as a unit for upgradation.
- Work load for each language is taken into consideration for arriving at posts to be upgraded in each district.
- The ratio of sanctioned language pandit posts against all language pandit posts in the district was taken to arrive at justified posts for upgradation in each language.
- Effort was made to allocate pandit posts are also upgraded covering Urdu, Oria, Tamil, Sanskrit, Kannada giving due weightage for language.
