Padmavathi Mahila University PGCET 2016 Notification has been released for admission into Post Graduation Courses online mode. Sri Padvamathi Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Tirupati invites application from the eligible women candidate for admission into PG Courses MA, MSc and five years integrated M.Sc courses. Admission process to PG Courses

For getting admission, a candidate should qualify in SPMVVPGCET-2016 and also satisfy the eligibility criteria prescribed for the course. Qualifying SPMVVPGCET-2016 does not guarantee admission. The candidate must satisfy all the eligibility criteria prescribed for admission into the course.

COURSES OF STUDY

The courses offered are of two years duration (4 semesters). The regular (R) and Self Financing (SF) Courses offered in the University are as follows

ELIGIBILITY FOR WRITING THE ENTRANCE TEST

  1. The candidate should have passed the qualifying examination with a minimum of 40% marks in the concerned subject. For the courses where the admission is based on the degree as a whole, the aggregate percentage in the group subjects should be 40% of marks. For admission into M.Ed., the aggregate marks in B.Ed. should be 50% and the aggregate marks in degree/PG should be 45%. Qualifying the corresponding Bachelor’s degree exam is sufficient for SC/ST candidates for admission in to any course.
  2. Candidates who have already passed the qualifying examinations or who have appeared / are appearing for the final year annual examination in 2016 are eligible to apply. Supplementary candidates of 2016 are not eligible.
  3. Eligibility criteria fixed for each course is given in Section R.

HOW TO APPLY

  1. Eligible candidates may submit their application through online.
  2. The online applications are made available in the website www.spmvvdoa.in
  3. Candidate can opt for Maximum two tests only by paying Rs.1000/- as Registration fee and should opt the same test center for both the tests.
  4. The application registration and processing fee of Rs.425/- may be paid through Andhra bank (Bill desk) payment gateway using credit/ debit card/ Internet banking.
  5. Application form can be downloaded and filled-in application shall be sent along with a processing fee for Rs.425/- drawn in the form of D.D in favor of Director, Directorate of Admissions ,SPMVV, Tirupati may be sent by post or in person to the Director, Directorate of Admissions ,SPMVV, Tirupati on or before 10-05-2016.

HALL TICKETS

  1. Hall tickets for the entrance test can be downloaded from the website www.spmvvdoa.in.
  2. No candidate is allowed to write the Entrance examination without Hall ticket.
  3. Duplicate hall ticket can also be obtained from the office of the Director, Directorate of Admissions or the Chief Superintendent of the Examination centre by submitting an attested passport size photograph and a demand draft for Rs. 100/- drawn in favor of Director, Directorate of Admissions along with the evidence of having submitted the application.
  4. SPMVVPGCET-2016 hall ticket is to be preserved carefully and to be produced at the time of admission.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

  1. Admissions are based on the SPMVVPGCET-2016 rank, subject to fulfillment of other eligibility criteria.
  2. The candidate should have passed the qualifying examination with minimum percentage of marks as mentioned in Section C (in the instructions booklet) when she is called for the counseling for admission, failing which the qualified candidates next in rank would be admitted.
  3. Admissions would be made through counseling at Directorate of Admissions, Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Tirupati.
  4. Admission into each course will be done by calling at least three candidates for every seat in each category. Candidates have to attend the counseling on the date and time specified at their own expenses with the required documents and fee.
  5. If a candidate fails to attend the counseling on the specified date and time for whatever reason, she will forfeit the seat and the candidate next in rank will be considered for counseling. Any representation for postponement of the date and time of personal appearance will not be entertained.

ALLOCATION OF SEATS TO VARIOUS RESERVATION CATEGORIES

  1. Seats in each course are reserved for Rayalaseema, Andhra regions of A.P and Telangana state in the ratio of 22:42:36 of the seats reserved for each region, 85% seats are filled with local candidates of that region, while the remaining15% seats are filled with local or non-local candidates of that region by merit.
  2. Seats allocated for different reserved categories are as follows: SC-15%, ST-6%, BCA-7%,BCB- 10%,BCC-1%, BCD-7%, BCE-4%, NCC-1%, NSS-1%, Cultural Activities-1% (wherever applicable), Games and Sports-1%, PH (Physically Challenged)-3% and CAP (Children of Armed Personnel)- 2%.(ECA and Physically Challenged are for local candidates only).

FEE PARTICULARS

  1. Each admitted candidate has to pay the fee immediately in the bank counter provided at the counseling venue.
  2. Each candidate who attends counseling for admissions has to pay an amount of Rs.400/-(Rs.250 for SC, ST Category) towards counseling fee.
  3. Fee concession is allowed to SC/ST/BC candidates for regular and self-financing courses on production of valid caste and income certificates as per the G.O.s in vogue. Fee concession is not applicable for payment and sponsored/NRI categories.
