AP Go.2318 Download List of General Holidays and Optional Holidays 2024
AP Govt has released List General Holidays and List of Optional Holidays for the year 2024. as per the GO 2318 Dt:30/11/2023. The list of General and Optional Holidays will be published in AP Extra-Ordinary Gazette. AP Govt specified list of General Holidays excluding Sundays as well as Optional Holidays. All the Govt. Offices, Schools, Institutions will remain closed during these Holidays.
All Second Saturdays are Holidays
AP Govt directed all the offices under state Govt should remain closed on all Sundays and Second Saturdays during the year 2024. The complete information related to GO 2318, regarding General and Optional Holidays, is as follows.

AP Govt has stated the state Govt. Employees may avail themselves of optional holidays not exceeding 5 days during the year 2024 on festival/occasions as stated. The optional holidays can avail irrespective of the religion to which the festivals pertain. Written permission is required to avail this option to holidays. The officer competent can grant option holidays to the employee.
Date of Ramzan is Based on the Sighting of Moon
If there is any change of date in respect of RAMZAN, BAKRID, MOHARAM and EID MILADUN NABI as per the sighting of the moon or any other Hindu holiday as well, it shall be announced through electronic/print media. All the Departments of Secretariat, Heads of Departments and District Collectors shall take action according to such an announcement and without waiting for formal order about the change of date.
