GO 65 AP GIS 2024–2025 New Interest Rate and New Tables
📘 Overview
The Government of Andhra Pradesh has issued G.O.MS.No.65 Dt: 27/10/2025revising the interest rate and tables of benefits under the Andhra Pradesh State Employees Group Insurance Scheme (APGIS) 1984.
The new interest rate of 7.1% per annum on the Savings Fund is applicable for the following periods:

🧾 About APGIS (Andhra Pradesh State Employees Group Insurance Scheme)
The AP State Employees Group Insurance Scheme (GIS) was introduced through G.O.MS.No.293, dated 08-10-1984 replacing the Family Benefit Scheme.
Under this scheme, a portion of the employee’s subscription goes to:
- Insurance Fund, and
- Savings Fund, which earns interest as per Government notification.
Initially, each unit of ₹10 was divided as:
- ₹3.125 towards Insurance Fund, and
- ₹6.875 towards Savings Fund.
From 01-11-1994, the unit value was revised to ₹15 (₹4.50 towards insurance and ₹10.50 towards savings).

📊 Revised GIS Maturity Tables (2024–2025)
Two sets of revised tables have been provided:
- Annexure-I – Maturity values for 3rd & 4th Quarters of 2024 (up to Dec 2024)
- Annexure-II – Maturity values for 1st & 2nd Quarters of 2025 (up to Jun 2025)
The maturity values are calculated based on quarterly compounded interest at 7.1% p.a.

⚙️ Key Instructions to DDOs and Departments
- Maintain accurate records in the Service Register:
- Entry Form No.1 (joining)
- Group Change Form No.2
- Nomination Forms (Form 6 for unmarried, Form 7 for married)
- Claim Forms (Form 3 for other than death, Form 5 for death)
- DDOs must ensure correct recovery of subscriptions and certify in the Service Register every year.
- Any excess/less recovery must be corrected; concerned officials are held responsible.
- Director of Insurance, A.P., Mangalagiri shall conduct regular audits of GIS claims.
📤 Post Audit Instructions
As per G.O.MS.No.910, Finance (Admn.II), dated 28.10.2002:
- A copy of GIS sanction orders along with calculation slips must be sent to:
Director of Insurance, Nidhi Bhavan, Mangalagiri, Guntur – 522503 for post-audit. - If any excess payment is found during audit, the amount shall be recovered through CFMS Challan under Head 8011-107-01.
🏁 Final Orders
The Government of Andhra Pradesh orders that:
- The 7.1% interest rate on the Savings Fund shall continue from 01-07-2024 to 30-06-2025.
- All sanctioning and disbursing authorities must follow the instructions strictly.
- Revised Annexures I, II, and III form part of this order.
