APSCERT has scheduled the FA2 / SAMP2 examinations from 5th to 8th October 2026, and the Social paper for Classes 6 to 10 is on 7th October 2026. For students preparing for it, the FA2 Tool-1 Social model question papers for every class from 6th to 10th are given below as free PDF downloads.
Formative Assessment-2 carries 35 marks per subject, and the Social paper follows the same MCQ, short-answer and essay pattern used across the secondary classes. Practising a model paper in exam conditions is the quickest way to see which lessons still need revision before the actual paper.

FA2 Social exam pattern 2026 (Classes 6 to 9)

Class 10 Social also carries 35 marks. For Classes 1 and 2 the FA2 paper is 35 marks (10 MCQs of 2 marks and 5 questions of 3 marks), and for Classes 3 to 5 it is 35 marks (15 MCQs of 1 mark, 2 questions of 2 marks and 4 questions of 4 marks).

How to use these FA2 Social model papers
- Attempt one paper in one sitting. Give yourself the same 1 hour 15 minutes the real paper allows, and don’t look at the textbook in between.
- Mark yourself honestly. Score the essay and short answers the way a teacher would, not the way you hope.
- List your weak lessons. Social is content-heavy — map every wrong answer back to the lesson it came from, then revise those lessons only.
- Use the second paper as a re-test. Each class has two model papers here, so you can write one now and the other after revision to measure the improvement.
- Practise writing the essay answer. The 8-mark question decides a large share of the total, so write at least one full-length answer by hand.
Instructions for schools during FA2
- Question papers are kept securely at the school complex for Classes 1 to 5 and at the MRC for Classes 6 to 10.
- MEOs 1 and 2, along with the School Complex Headmasters, are the custodians of the preserved papers.
- Paper bundles are handed over to each school one hour before the session begins.
- School Complex HMs, MEOs and CRPs should visit schools during exam hours to confirm the examinations are conducted smoothly and fairly.
