  • CPS Employees: Including PTD employees who have opted for CPS and are governed by CPS, 10% of the arrear amount will be credited to the PRAN account along with the Government share as applicable.

The Government Order provides a special provision for employees who retired or are due to retire from service between 01-07-2024 and 30-04-2027, inclusive of both dates.

For such employees, the DA arrears shall be drawn and paid in cash. The order cites the exemption from GPF subscription during the last four months of service for an employee retiring on superannuation.

DA Arrears in Case of Death of Employee

In the event of the death of an employee before the issue of these orders, the employee’s legal heir(s) shall be entitled to the DA arrears, subject to the applicable rules and procedures.

DA Arrears Calculation

The additional DA sanctioned under this order is 2.73% for employees under RPS 2022. The actual arrears payable to an individual employee will depend on the employee’s eligible Basic Pay during the arrears period and the applicable rules.

Employees should therefore calculate the arrears month-wise based on the eligible Basic Pay and the difference between the earlier DA rate and the revised DA rate.

AP DA Arrears Bill and Payroll System

The Government has directed the APCFSS to incorporate the necessary functionality in the payroll system for calculation of DA arrears and generation of the Due Drawn Statement, facilitating the generation of DA arrears bills by Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs).
