| First DA Arrears | 2.73% | From July 2024 |

DA Arrears and Increment Month
The annual increment month is important when preparing a month-wise arrears calculation because the Basic Pay may change during the arrears period.
Therefore, employees should select the correct increment month in the calculator instead of using the same Basic Pay for every month.
The calculator provides a separate Last Increment Month selection so that the calculation can be prepared according to the employee’s salary progression.
AAS Details in DA Arrears Calculation
If an employee received an Automatic Advancement Scheme (AAS) benefit during the relevant period, the AAS details can affect the Basic Pay used for calculating DA arrears.
The calculator therefore provides an AAS Taken Month selection and a day selection to incorporate the relevant information into the calculation.
CPS / ZPPF / GPF Selection
The calculator also asks the employee to select the applicable pension or provident fund category.
- ZPPF/GPF
- CPS
This selection is useful for presenting the applicable arrears breakup in the generated statement.
Surrender Leave DA Arrears
Employees who have taken Surrender Leave encashment during the relevant period can select the appropriate option in the calculator.
The software provides options for:
- 30 Days Surrender Leave
- 15 Days Surrender Leave
The applicable month can then be selected to include the corresponding DA component in the calculation.
Download DA Arrears Statement as PDF
After entering all required details, the calculator generates a detailed DA arrears statement. Employees can review the month-wise figures and use the PDF option to obtain an A4-format calculation statement.
This can be useful for checking the arrears calculation before preparing or submitting the relevant records to the Drawing and Disbursing Officer (DDO).
Important Note About DA Arrears
The calculator is intended to help employees prepare and verify their individual DA arrears calculations. The actual arrears payable by the department may depend on the employee’s official service records, pay fixation, leave records, AAS orders, pension/PF rules and departmental instructions.
Therefore, employees should compare the generated calculation with their official records before using it for final bill submission.
