What is SSC Age Condonation?

SSC Age Condonation is the official permission given to a student who does not meet the minimum eligible age for appearing in the SSC Public Examinations. The parent must submit the SSC Age Condonation Form along with valid proof of the student’s Date of Birth. The school keeps this form in its records. The school will not be responsible for future disputes related to the student’s Date of Birth.

Required forms to Submit 10th Class Nominal Rolls

Minimum Age Requirement for SSC Public Exams 2026

  • Students appearing for SSC March/April 2025–26 Public Exams must be born on or before 31-08-2011.
  • The student should have completed 14 years of age.
  • Under-age students can apply for Age Condonation through proper proceedings.

Authority for Approving Age Condonation

For Government / Local Body Schools:

  • Up to 1½ years: Headmaster can approve.
  • Beyond 1½ years and up to 2 years: Director of Government Examinations (DGE) approves.

For Private / Aided Schools:

  • Up to 1½ years: District Educational Officer (DEO) can approve.
  • Beyond 1½ years and up to 2 years: DGE approves.

Note: Age condonation beyond 2 years is NOT allowed.

  • Challan for Rs. 300/- (per student)
  • Medical Certificate declaring physical fitness and age verification
  • Date of Birth Proof (Birth Certificate / School Admission Register extract)

How to Pay SSC Age Condonation Fee in CFMS?

Parents or school authorities must pay the Age Condonation Fee through the CFMS Challan payment system. After payment, attach the challan receipt to the application form and submit it to the concerned authority (HM / DEO / DGE) based on the age difference.

Parent Letter to Headmaster – Age Condonation Request

Parents must submit a written request to the Headmaster along with the Age Condonation Form, medical certificate, and date of birth proof. The HM will verify details and forward the application to DEO or DGE if required.
