Revised AP MDM Cooking Cost Rates 2025 – Latest Material Cost for PM POSHAN
The School Education Department, Andhra Pradesh has issued new orders revising the Material Cost (Cooking Cost) under the PM POSHAN (Mid-Day Meal) scheme. The revised rates apply to Classes I–V, VI–VIII, IX–X and Government Junior Colleges (Intermediate).These revisions are based on instructions from the Ministry of Education (Government of India) and various AP Government memos issued between 2024 and 2025.
What Changed?
- Cooking cost increased for all categories under PM POSHAN.
- Additional menu charges withdrawn as per effective dates.
- Implementation from 19-02-2025 and 08-08-2025 depending on category.

Instructions to DEOs & MEOs
- Implement revised rates immediately as per category-wise effective dates.
- Update school finance records and meal registers.
