Work Adjustment 2026 -PS, UP, High Schools Teachers Adjustment Roll as on 20.6.2026
For the academic year 2026–27, the Andhra Pradesh Government has permitted the adjustment of surplus teachers to schools facing teacher shortages in order to maintain the prescribed Pupil-Teacher Ratio (PTR) under the RTE Act, 2009. Following the successful “Badi Pilustondi” enrollment drive and in the absence of regular transfers and promotions due to the implementation of the Presidential Order, 2025, variations in student enrollment have created disparities in teacher distribution across Government, ZPP, MPP, and Municipal schools. To ensure equitable teacher allocation, optimum utilization of available staff, uninterrupted teaching, and quality education for all students, the School Education Department has decided to undertake teacher work adjustments as per Section 14 of the Andhra Pradesh State Teachers Transfers Regulation Act, 2025, following the prescribed norms and guidelines.
