Vidya Shakthi Program in AP High Schools 2025: Complete Details, Schedule, Action Plan PDF Download
Andhra Pradesh Government has launched the “Vidya Shakthi” program in 2025 for high school and intermediate students to boost academic performance through remedial teaching. The program will offer extra coaching in Mathematics, Science, and English after school hours, supported by innovative teaching methods and technology.
What is Vidya Shakthi Program?
The Vidya Shakthi Program is a special initiative by the Government of Andhra Pradesh in collaboration with IIT Madras Pravartak Technology Innovation Hub. Its goal is to improve learning outcomes for academically backward students in government schools and junior colleges through structured training, mentorship, and capacity-building for teachers.
Key Objectives of Vidya Shakthi 2025
✅ To improve the performance of underperforming students in core subjects
✅ To provide extra coaching in Mathematics, Science, and English
✅ To use technology-based and innovative teaching practices
✅ To build the capacity of teachers through mentorship and training
Who is Eligible?
✔️ Students from Class 6 to Class 12 in government high schools and junior colleges
✔️ Both residential (KGBVs, APREIS, Model Schools) and non-residential government schools
How Does Vidya Shakthi Work?
👉 Classes will be held after school hours
👉 Remedial teaching in Maths, Science, and English
👉 Live Zoom classes from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM
👉 Additional sessions on career guidance, personality development, and yoga
👉 Regular progress assessments and attendance monitoring through the LEAP App
👉 “Champion Badges” for best-performing students every month

Two teachers to be appointed as program coordinators in each identified school on a rotation basis

Vidya Shakthi 2025 Schedule
📅 June 12, 2025: Program begins with Yoga and wellness sessions (aligning with International Yoga Day on June 21)
📅 June 23, 2025 onwards: Regular remedial subject classes start
📅 Orientation for teachers/coordinators will be conducted in the last week of June
📅 Monthly assessments and progress tracking

Headmasters must nominate and report coordinators after teacher transfers
