The School Education Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh, has released detailed instructions for conducting the 3rd Mega Parent Teacher Meeting (MPTM 3.0) across all Government Schools and Junior Colleges on 05 December 2025. All District Educational Officers and Head Masters must follow the below guidelines for smooth and effective implementation of Mid-Day Meals.

Purpose of MPTM 3.0

  • Strengthen parent–teacher communication
  • Engage parents, teachers, donors, alumni, and public representatives
  • Serve Mid Day Meals (MDM) to all participants

Key Instructions for MPTM 3.0

1. Serving of Meals

  • Hot cooked Mid Day Meals must be served to all students, parents, donors, and other visitors.
  • Follow the Friday MDM Menu.
  • Ensure inclusion of Peanut–Jaggery Chikki for all participants.

2. Hygiene & Meal Distribution

  • Maintain proper hygiene at the lunch serving area.
  • Arrange lunch in a lined-up manner for parents, teachers, students, and guests.
  • Ensure availability of safe drinking water throughout the day.
  • Provide hand-washing facilities for participants before and after meals.

3. Cooking Hygiene

  • Cooking agencies must follow hygienic practices at all stages of meal preparation.
  • Meals should be supplied in high-quality sealed insulated/stainless containers.
  • Ensure cooked food reaches the school before lunchtime.
  • Maintain food temperature at 65°C or above until serving.

4. Preparation & Ingredient Availability

  • Head Masters must estimate the expected number of participants and inform the cooking agency or NGO well in advance.
  • Verify availability of:
    • Fortified Fine Rice
    • Ragi Jaggery
    • Eggs
    • Peanut Jaggery Chikki
    • Other essential cooking materials
  • Report shortages immediately to the District Educational Officer.
  • NGO agencies must ensure food reaches on time.

5. Documentation & Billing

  • Head Masters must enter participant details and meals served in the LEAP App (PTM Module) on 05-12-2025.
  • Billing should be confirmed based on attendance and cost norms.

6. Sanitation & Toilets Maintenance

  • Head Masters must instruct Ayahs under TMF for proper maintenance of school toilets.
  • Ensure:
    • Toilet maintenance kits
    • Cleanliness of washrooms
    • Availability of sanitary napkins

The School Education Department has directed all DEOs to ensure successful implementation of the 3rd Mega Parent Teacher Meeting (MPTM 3.0) on 05 December 2025 through continuous monitoring and proper arrangements at all levels.
