Go.15 Age of Superannuation Enhanced to 62 years of AP Govt Employees
Retirement age of AP Govt. Employees has been enhanced to 62 years. The enhancement of retirement age up to 62 is as per the Go Ms No.15 Dt:31/01/2022 of Finance (HR-IV-FR&LR) department of Andhra Pradesh. Previously the superannuation age of AP Govt employees is 60 years only. The Chief Minister of AP has announced the raise of retirement age to his employees. The complete Go.15 regarding superannuation of employees is as follows.

Andhra Pradesh Public Employment (Regulation of Age of Superannuation) (Amendment) Ordinance, 2022 (A.P. Ordinance No. 1 of 2022) published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette Part—IV-B Extraordinary, No.1, Amaravati, dt.31.01.2022.
ORDER:
In the Ordinance published in reference read above, an Ordinance namely, Andhra Pradesh Public Employment (Regulation of Age of Superannuation) (Amendment) Ordinance, 2022 {A.P. Ordinance No. 1 of 2022) has been issued. According to the aforementioned Ordinance, the following amendments have been issued to the Andhra Pradesh Public Employment (Regulation of Age of Superannuation) Act, 1984:-
“1. (i) This Ordinance may be called the Andhra Pradesh Public Employment (Regulation of Age of Superannuation) (Amendment) Ordinance, 2022.
(2} It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1•t January 2022.
- In the Andhra Pradesh Public Employment (Regulation of Age of Superannuation) Act, 1984, (hereinafter referred to as the Principal Act), in section 3,-
- in sub-section (1), for the words “sixty years the words ‘sixty two year shall be substituted,
- in sub section (2), for the words “sixty years’, the words Qty two years shall be
- in sub section (8),-
- for the words ‘sixty years, the words Sixty two years’ shall be
- in Explanation-11, for words “sixty years, the words “sixty two years’ shall be
- in sub section (4),-
(a} in clause {a), for the words ‘sixty years’, the words “sixty two years’ shall be substituted.
(b) in clause (b), for the words Sixty years’, the words “sixty two years shall be substituted.
- In the Principal Act, in section 3A, in sub-section (2),-for the words °sixty eight years, the words ‘sixty one years shall be
- (2) for the words “sixty years wherever it occurs, the words ‘sixty two years’ shall be substituted.‘
- All the Departments of the Secretariat, the Heads of Departments and the District Collectors shall take necessary action to implement the provisions of the above ordinance
