Central Govt has hiked Dearness Allowance 10% on Friday, the DA has reached 90 per cent to 100 per cent .
This move of central would benefit to 50 lakh central Govt employees and 30 lakh pentioners. Union Cabinet
which held meeting in Delhi has taken the decision to hike DA to employees and Dearness Relief to their pensioners.
Now the present DA has reached 100 per cent after the double digit DA hike in a row. The hike DA would effect
from first January this year. With the decision taken in cabinet meeting, am central Govt as well as pensioners
are entitled to get 100% DA as well as DR. The impact of increasing DA/DR would be Rs:11,074 on government.
This again second double digit hike in a row. Previously the government had announced 10% hike, which goes up to 90% w.e.f 1st July 2013.
NThe Union cabinet has also approved to merge 50% of DA with the basic pay with 7th pay commission terms of reference.
This might increase 30% of gross salary of central Govt employees.
