TS Memo 9026 Clarification of Dearness Allowance(DA) admissible for calculating retirement gratuity

Circular Memo.9026, regarding the pensioner’s retirement gratuity, Memo 9026 Dearness Allowance(DA) admissible for calculating retirement gratuity including with the Basic Pay for purpose of arriving the amount of retirement gratuity. Circular Memo 9020-A/188/A2/HRM-V/2015 Dt:24/07/2015 by the TS Finance(HRM-V) Department is for the clarification retirement gratuity issues with admissible DA.

Retirement Gratuity Ceiling

Previously the retirement Gratuity ceiling is Rs 8.00 lakhs. The gratuity has been increased Rs 12.00 lakhs as per the GO Ms No.99 Finance(HRM-V) Department Dt:21/07/2015. Some the employee unions has expressed concerns about the status of inclusion of DA while calculating the retirement gratuity.

Keeping in view of the unions representations, the TS Govt. clarify that the existing system of DA with Basic Pay(BPay) for calculating the retirement gratuity continues in the latest RPS 2015 also.

The above Circular Memo 9023 was issued by the N Sivasankar, Secretary to Government of Telangana for the welfare of the retirement benefits of the employees. The complete Cir Memo 9026 is as follows.

1. In the reference 2nd cited, orders have been issued enhancing the retirement Gratuity ceiling from Rs. 8.00 lakhs to Rs. 12.00 lakhs. Some of the Unions expressed concerns about the status of inclusion of Dearness Relief while computing retirement gratuity .
2. Therefore, the Government, hereby clarifiy that the existing system of including DA with Basic Pay for the purpose of computing retirement gratuity continues, while implementing the 10th PRC recommendations.
